Dr. Carl Sharif El-Togbui will begin by addressing the historical background of the rise of Islam and the life of the Prophet Muhammad, and then will speak about the nature and place of the Qur’an in Islam; basic beliefs and practices through an exploration of Islamic theology, law, and spirituality; and Islam’s relationship to other religions.

The lecture will lay the groundwork for a stimulating question and answer session, followed by group reflections over dinner, and a final closing session.
