Extend Your Activism and expand the impact of your advocacy efforts! Please join a small group of Oberlin Quakers and others for a workshop to explore the formation of an Advocacy Team in conjunction with the Friends Committee on National Legislation – FCNL. FCNL is a non-partisan, policy focused lobbying and educational organization in Washington, DC.

There will be a light supper at 5:30, and the workshop will begin at 6pm. Emily Savin, a staff member with FCNL, will outline a project to learn additional advocacy skills that can have an impact on Congress for the long haul. FCNL Advocacy Teams are starting up around the country, and a number of people in Oberlin are working to creating one.

NOTE: The event will take place in the JFO room at First Church.
